That moment when…

Moving overseas to live is full of moments that stand out. Here are some, though I am sure that this will be one of those evolving posts! I just might have to turn it into a page!

That moment when…

You say “When I get home to your parents while you are “home”.”  And then you promptly hope that they didn’t catch that. But you secretly realize that you have found a place that you feel is home and have stopped referring to it as a city or country.

That moment when…

You realize that this:

Means nothing to you as far as what clothes you should wear.

But this:

Does

Except when it’s summer then this:Screenshot_20160718-124640

Means nothing to you as far as what clothes you should wear.

But this:

That moment when…

You realize that you have no idea where to shop when you are at “home” but you can go out and shop in 30 mins flat at home.

That moment when…

You realize that you now have to find out if they take things back in shops because it wasn’t that your battery was dying in your toothbrush. But that you were plugging it into a fat EU socket instead of a skinny one.

The moment when…

You realize that 1/2 of the people who read this will probably not get the moment mentioning fat EU sockets!

That moment when…

You walk past something then turn around and take a second look cuz, really did I just see that, happens. Like this, a contact vending machine.

In case you are out and about and lose a contact, maybe? Hmmm I didn’t even need to look to know that they won’t have my prescription!
